The Board of Control for Cricket in India was worth 14,489 crores at the end of the financial year 2018-19, as per the latest balance sheet accessed by IANS. The World's wealthiest board added 2,597.19 crore in 2018-19.
According to the sheet which is yet not released publicly, BCCI earned 4,017.11 crores under income, of which 2407.46 crores came from the 2018 IPL edition.
It's second-biggest income which amounts to 828 crores, came from the grant of media rights of the Indian Cricket Team. Over the last few years, the income of the board has gone up majorly due to the sale of media rights of the Indian team during their Bilateral series played at home and the IPL media rights.
