Battlegrounds Mobile India saw 34 million players play the game in the first week after official launch, developer Krafton has announced.
The battle royale game also saw a peak of 2.4 million concurrent players at one time, and as many as 16 million in a day.
Officially launched on July 2, BGMI is the Indian avatar of the popular PUBG Mobile, which was banned in the country last year.

Krafton has thanked Indian players for their support, and pledged to grow and develop India’s gaming and esports industries.
