An asteroid, which measures the size of a Boeing 747 aircraft, is likely to pass the orbit of the Earth on the 7th of October but it will be 2,380,000 miles away from our planet!
U.S. Space agency NASA, however, confirmed that the asteroid called 2020 RK2 is unlikely to cause any damage and comes just within 2 weeks of the last asteroid that zoomed pass Earth on the 24th of September.
First Spotted last month by scientists, 2020 RK2, which is 118 to 265 foot wide is being closely monitored by Near-Earth Objects (NEO) of NASA. Travelling at a massive speed of 6.68 kilometers per second, it may collide with the orbit of the Earth and may not be visible to sky-watchers.
