Where does India stand in the war on Covid, with its current vaccination pace? On today's episode of Ask The Doctor, Dr N K Arora, Chair, Covid Working Group, Ministry of Health, Director, INCLEN Trust says no one expected the new more infectious variant and the resulting spike in cases so India was caught off guard, however he adds, that the oxygen crisis that the country faced was a reality check. He says a lot of investment has gone into research groups and organisations working on the Covid vaccine and India should be able to comfortably ramp up production of vaccines in the next two-three months, have enough doses to inoculate everyone.
