India beat joint-defending champions Pakistan 3-1 in the men's round-robin clash on Friday to book their place in the Asian Champions Trophy Hockey semifinals at the national stadium in Dhaka.

Harmanpreet Singh put India ahead in the 1st quarter when he successfully converted a penalty corner. Akashdeep Singh then doubled the lead in the 42nd minute. Pakistan though pulled 1 back in the dying seconds of the 3rd quarter and even won 2 penalty corners post that but failed to convert even 1.

It was once again Harmanpreet who converted another penalty corner to give India its 3rd goal, thus sealing a win. He has so far converted all PC's in the tournament. It was India's 2nd win of the Champions Trophy while Pakistan is still searching for their first victory.
