According to a new patent filed in the US, Apple is planning to make the Apple Watch thinner by removing the haptic vibration engine, and using the battery unit itself to replicate the feedback motor. The patent reportedly involves a "moving battery component", that can both power the device, and deliver vibration feedback to the user's wrist. The design should theoretically improve battery life on the wearable device, with more space allowing for a larger battery unit.
