Apple is releasing a slate of updates next week for operating systems across all its devices. iOS and iPadOS get updated to version 14.5, while the macOS 11.3 and watchOS 7.4 updates will also see release.
With the next version of iOS, users will be able to unlock their phones with a paired Apple Watch, something many have asked for as Face ID struggles to recognise people wearing masks. Apple will also introduce a do-not-track feature that will force apps to ask users for permission before tracking them.
The new updates will also bring a revamped Podcasts app, and support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S controllers. Apple is also introducing 200 new emojis, and an emoji search function.
