Aparna Sen's 'The Rapist' wins Kim Jiseok Award at Busan International Film Festival

National Award winning filmmaker Aparna Sen’s upcoming film 'The Rapist' won the prestigious Kim Jiseok Award at the 26th Busan International Film Festival.

Starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Arjun Rampal and Tanmay Dhanania in lead roles, 'The Rapist' is a hard-hitting drama that shows how one incident changes the life of a rape survivor.

In the film, Konkona plays the role of the rape survivor, and she delivers yet another powerful performance, handling a sensitive role with expertise. Arjun Rampal plays the role of Konkona's husband in the film.

Directed by Aparna Sen, The Rapist is being co-produced by Applause Entertainment and Quest Films. Applause Entertainment has also produced the widely appreciated web series Scam 1992.
