Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday got emotion as he condemned actions of some MPs in the House on Tuesday.

"All sacredness of this House was destroyed yesterday when some members sat on the tables and some climbed on the tables," he said.

The Rajya Sabha witnessed unruly scene on Tuesday as opposition kept up with their protest and sloganeering over the Pegasus snooping row, farm laws and other issues.

In a video tweeted by Trinamool MP Derek O'Brien, some MPs were seen standing on the tables inside the House and hurling files towards the chair while shouting slogans.

The Monsoon Session saw little work in both the House as opposition kept protesting over Pegasus demanding a discussion on the alleged phone hacking scandal.
Both the government and the Opposition blamed each other for the deadlock in the House.
