Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has officially completed shooting for filmmaker Mani Ratnam's epic drama 'Ponniyin Selvan'.
Sharing the news on her Instagram, Aishwarya made the announcement along with a brand new poster.
Titled Ponniyin Selvan-1, the new poster revealed that the first part of the period drama will release in summer 2022.
Set in the backdrop of the Chola Dynasty, Ponniyin Selvan is based on iconic writer Kalki Krishnamurthy’s historical fiction novel by the same name.
Apart from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the film also stars Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others.
