Amid concerns over terrorists using drones after the attack on Air Force station in Jammu, India has reportedly zeroed in on the system and technology to tackle "rogue drones".
Reports said that soon a comprehensive policy will be rolled out to avoid the Jammu like attack where two drones were used to drop payload on the IAF station.
Strategy to counter drone attacks was discussed at a high-level meeting attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and NSA Ajit Doval on Monday.
Reports said that the system against drone attacks will consist of radio frequency detectors, electro-optical and infrared cameras, and radars.
The BSF is in the process of acquiring a ground-based standalone platform capable of detecting lone, suspicious flying objects or groups of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and reacting quickly, reports said.
