Ahead of Assam Assembly Election BJP initiates door-to-door drive

Gearing up for the ensuing assembly election, the BJP started its door-to-door campaign across the state, (Pariyal Sampark Abhiyan), which they believe will give extra mileage to the party.
As a part of this campaign, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar along with MP Queen Oja and BJP Kamrup district committee president Mrigen Sarania Tuesday visited the residence of prominent writer Anuradha Sharma Pujari in her residence at Panjabari, Guwahati.
Anuradha Sharma Pujari raises the issue of the Assam flood and the basic problems of the farmers to the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar also visited cricketer Ryan Parag's residence.
Speaking to the media Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, "I came to Assam for party work and visited writer Anuradha Sharma Pujari's residence as a part of BJP's door-to-door campaign. We tried to understand people's hopes and problems. We have discussed the development of Assam, feels good. I believe that through this campaign BJP will come to power in the next assembly election. BJP government has done various development work in 5 years tenure. BJP will contest in the election with the help of development work."
Anuradha Sharma Pujari said, "I have raised the issue of the flood. The flood problem should be solved. There should be a new economic package for youth generations. Basically, I have discussed the problems of middle-class people of Assam."
