As whispers of the Gandhis losing hold over the Congress increase, the mother-son duo of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi made sure they left no doubt about who runs the party during the Congress Working Committee meeting on Saturday.
After Sonia Gandhi asserted herself as 'full-time' and 'hands on' Congress President in the presence of dissenting leaders, reports have emerged that Rahul Gandhi has said that he will consider taking up the post of party president.

Rahul Gandhi had quit the post after Congress' poor show in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and since then has been reluctant to take up the post again.
However, reports suggest that after senior Congress leaders requested him to become the party president, Rahul said that he would consider it.
