The husband of Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian woman who was acquitted of blasphemy charges, after being on death row for 10 years is now pleading for asylum in UK, US or Canada. Asia was convicted in 2010 for insulting Prophet Muhammad, but the conviction was overturned by the Supreme Court due to flimsy evidence. Her acquittal sparked violent protests in Pakistan and her husband has said he fears his family's safety.
