A day after Anurag Kashyap was questioned for reportedly 8 hours in the sexual assault case filed against him by actress Payal Ghosh, the filmmaker has denied all accusations in a statement made by his lawyer Priyanka Khimani.
Calling the complaint an 'outright lie', Kashyap has provided documentary proof of the fact that throughout August 2013 he was away in Sri Lanka for the shooting of one of his films when the alleged incident took place.
The filmmaker has also sought for severe action against the complainant, for misusing the criminal justice system and for hijacking the #MeToo movement for her ulterior motives.
Actress Payal Ghosh had alleged that the filmmaker forced himself upon her in the past.
