In a first, the India Fashion Week organised by the Fashion Design Council of India and Mumbai's Lakme Fashion Week are joining hands for a phygital fashion week scheduled to be held in mid March, an IANS report suggests.

The event will be aired on both platforms, from the 16th to the 21st of March.

To mark the rare occasion, a special unity logo will also be created. Through the partnership, the two hope to adapt better to a world struck by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Designers from Mumbai, Delhi and other parts of India will showcase their work at the event, the report said.
