A report by cybersecurity firm NortonLifeLock states that around 59% of Indian adults have experienced cyber crime over the past 12 months. Around 36% of Indians also reported facing unauthorised access to their accounts or devices. Indians are also more concerned about cyber crime than ever before, as 63% said that they feel more vulnerable to cyber crime since the Covid-19 pandemic, and the normalisation of work from home practices. The report is based on a survey of more than 10,000 adults conducted across 10 countries, including around 1,000 in India.
