Yash Raj Films Chairman and filmmaker Aditya Chopra penned a heartfelt note remembering his father and legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra on YRF's 50th anniversary.
Sharing the note on Instagram, Aditya recalled how his father took the huge risk of starting YRF in 1970, leaving the comfort and security of his brother BR Chopra's production house.
Aditya added that his father did not know how to run a business, all he had was a strong belief in his talent and it was his conviction that gave birth to Yash Raj Films.
Yash Chopra was the recipient of six National Film Awards, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2001, Padma Bhushan in 2005 and British Academy of Film and Television Arts presented him with a lifetime membership, making him the first Indian to receive the honour.
