The Karnataka govt has announced a 14-day lockdown in the state from Tuesday 9 pm amid an alarming rise in the Covid-19 infections.
Announcing the decision, CM BS Yeddiyurappa said that essential services will be allowed only between 6 am and 10 am for public. All shops will remain closed after 10 am and public transport will also remain suspended, the CM said.
Karnataka had on Sunday reported biggest single day spike of 34,804 new Covid-19 cases.
