Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma has got multiple stitches on his right hand after he sustained an injury during the inaugural World Test Championship final, which India lost by 8 wickets.

A BCCI official informed PTI that Sharma has got multiple stitches on his middle and fourth finger in his bowling hand and that the stitches will be off in around 10 days.

He added that since the injury is not being regarded as a serious one, the ace pacer is expected to return to action for the upcoming India England 5 match Test series in August.
