ICC T20 World Cup: Pakistan announced a revised squad as Sarfaraz Ahmed returns into the side

Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed who was earlier not a part of the T20 World Cup squad makes his return as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a revised team on Friday.

Three changes in the provisional squad were announced, confirmed chief selector Mohammad Wasim. He stated that the changes were made considering the performances of the players in the National T20 tournament.

While 34-year-old Sarfaraz, Haider Ali and Fakhar Zaman are all set to return to the squad, Khushdil Shah, wicket-keeper batsman Azam Khan, and pacer Mohammad Hasnain have been removed. Being placed in Group 2 Pakistan is set to play arch-rivals India in their opening match of World T20 on October 24.
