France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has said that his country was working on a joint proposal with the United States for a 21-day ceasefire in Lebanon. He told the 15-member UN Security Council that a diplomatic solution is indeed possible and in recent days, France has worked with America on a temporary ceasefire platform to allow for negotiations.
