Video: fans clash with forces after Morocco loses to France | FIFA World Cup 2022

Riot police were deployed in the Belgian capital Brussels on Wednesday night following Morocco's 2-0 loss to France in the World Cup semi-final.

People took to the streets after the match and lit fireworks, flares and bonfires, leading to clashes with security forces. Riot police launched water cannons to disperse the crowd.

Morocco will play the third-place playoff match against Croatia at Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday.

Belgium has a significant minority population of people with Moroccan roots.
