In a fresh sign of support to India amid China's border aggression, a resolution in the United States Senate has said that America recognises the McMahon Line as the international boundary between China and Arunachal Pradesh.
The bipartisan resolution expresses support for recognising Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India, while condemning China's aggression at the Line of Actual Control.
Senator Bill Hagerty, who introduced the resolution along with Senator Jeff Merkley, said on 14 March 2023 that US needs to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with India.
