Indian-American Presidential aspirant Vivek Ramaswamy has aligned himself with former US President Donald Trump, both of whom are bidding for the Republican party ticket to contest the 2024 election.

Political newcomer Ramaswamy said he shares “small” differences with Trump but they agree on most things. Trump previously hinted that Ramaswamy would be a “very good” Vice President.

With Trump stuck in a legal jam, uncertainty looms over his White House bid. However, Ramaswamy has reportedly gained a stronghold amongst Republicans.

“We are the two ‘America-First’ candidates in this race, everybody else embraces the neo-con (neo-conservative) foreign policy view,” Ramaswamy said in an interview with Fox News.

He added, “I think we are deeply aligned on policies, 90-plus per cent of the way. There are some small differences”.

Ramaswamy explained that he could take Trump’s agenda further, saying that the former president had already laid a “very good foundation.”
