The death toll due to the 'blizzard of the century' pounding the United States of America crossed 45 on 26 December 2022.
The deaths have been reported from 9 states experiencing snow squalls and frigid temperatures. Bodies of people frozen to death have been found in cars and under snow banks.
Around 2,600 flights were cancelled on 26 December, taking the total number of flight cancellations to 15,000 in recent days.
