Amid rising animosity between the United States of America and China, and strengthening partnership between Washington and Delhi, a significant resolution has been introduced in the US Congress.

Three powerful Senators introduced a resolution in the Senate on 16 February 2023 reaffirming that Arunachal Pradesh is an "integral part of India".

The resolution supports India's "sovereignty and integrity", and also condemns China's "use of military force" to change the status quo along the disputed border between India and China called the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The resolution was introduced by Senators Jeff Markley and Bill Haggerty, and co-sponsored by John Cornyn.
