After hours-long manhunt, the police in US arrested a man, who had allegedly threatened to kill Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump. The accused Ronald Lee Syvrud had made death threats against Trump in social media posts over the past fortnight. Police said the 66-year-old Arizona resident was also wanted in many cases and faced sexual offence charges. Trump had blamed the incident on his rival Kamala Harris for allowing illegal immigrants into the US. In his attack, the former president had told stories of people who were killed by migrants. Trump had pledged to complete the construction of the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and advocated for tougher sentences for drug traffickers.
