Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has sacked his country's ambassadors to India, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives.

The decision was announced on the presidential website but the reason for their removal was not specified.

Ukraine's ties with several countries have been strained since Russia's invasion for either their reluctance to condemn Putin's actions or to impose strict sanctions. Many of these countries are heavily dependant on Russia for their energy needs.
