With no end in sight to the Ukraine war, Vladimir Putin’s daughters have been named in the latest round of US sanctions. Not much is known about his daughters, but the US officials say they believe Putin’s wealth is hidden with family.
Maria Vladimirovna Vorontsova, 36, and Katerina Vladimirovna Tikhonova, 35, are the daughters of President Putin and his ex-wife Lyudmila Putina.
Maria Vorontsova studied biology at St Petersburg University and medicine at Moscow State University after that. Vorontsova is now a specialist of the endocrine system and has co-authored a book on stunted growth in children.
Katerina Tikhonova is a former competitive dancer. She is now a tech executive in Russia. Her work reportedly supports the government and the defence industry in Russia.
Both, once married, are now separated. Neither are said to spend a lot of time with Putin.
