Turkey: rescuer crawls in tunnel dug through rubble, saves man pinned under debris in Hatay

Footage of more daring rescues emerged a week after Turkey and Syria were hit by devastating earthquakes.

A video was shared on social which reportedly showed a British rescuer crawling down a tunnel created through rubble. After crawling through the debris, the rescuer finds a Turkish man trapped for almost a week.

The video was recorded in Turkey's Hatay, according to accounts on social media.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Turkey and Syria crossed the 34,000 mark on 13 February 2023.
