In yet another bizarre food experiment, an ice cream brand has launched a salty-dip flavour
US-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream came up with Ranch-flavoured ice cream, which is a popular dressing used in salads, and sandwiches. Ranch dip consists of buttermilk, sour cream, garlic, onions, and herbs and these ingredients are traditionally believed to be in complete contrast with a frozen dessert.
The unique flavour was launched on March 10 as part of the collaboration between the ice cream chain and Hidden Valley Ranch company to mark National Ranch Day. It will be in stores for a limited time period, the ice-cream brand said.
The bizarre ice-cream experiment has left netizens baffled with some calling it April Fool's joke.
