The civil war in Sudan has put even foreign diplomats at risk.
An American diplomatic convoy came under fire in the war-torn African nation on 17 April 2023.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that initial reports suggested the attack was committed by fighters associated with Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
Earlier, the European Union's envoy to Sudan was attacked inside his residence in Khartoum.
