Police in the US have arrested the youth who rammed a truck into billboards outside a park near the White House.
19-year-old Sai Varshith Kandula has been charged with threatening to kill, kidnap or inflict harm on US president Joe Biden, vice president Kamala Harris or their family members.
According to US Park Police and US Secret Service Kandula was arrested after “intentionally” crashing the truck on May 22.
Kandula reportedly told law enforcement officers that he wanted to seize power, take over the government and kill the president.
News agencies photographed police officers removing a Nazi flag from the truck and examining the flag on the ground. Kandula, from the St Louis suburb of Chesterfield, graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 2022.
