Pakistan: 'suicide bombing' in Islamabad; at least 1 cop killed, many injured in blast, say reports

An explosion, believed to be a suicide bombing, rocked Pakistan's capital city Islamabad on 23 December 2022.

Police officials had halted a taxi for routine checking, when the blast occurred, as per Pakistani media reports.

At least one person was killed, and six others were injured. The deceased was identified as a policeman. Four of the injured persons were also cops.

The incident occurred in the I-10/4 sector of Islamabad.
