Days after India signed significant defence deals with the United States of America, it has emerged that Pakistan is deploying a new Chinese howitzer gun along the disputed border with India.

A few SH-15 guns have been spotted at some places along the Line of Control, as per officials quoted by the news outlet The Hindu. The SH-15 is a 155 mm truck-mounted howitzer, and known as a 'shoot-and-scoot' artillery weapon.

Pakistan received its first batch of SH-15s in January 2022 after signing a contract for 236 of the guns with Chinese company Norinco.
