A woman in Pakistan's Lahore was mobbed after a crowd mistook the Arabic text on her kurta for Quran verses.
The woman was asked to take off the shirt by the mob. However, a woman cop showed up and saved the day. She rescued the woman, pulling her away from the crowd.
A video of the incident that was shared by Pakistan's Punjab Police has gone viral.
The rescued woman later issued an apology saying she didn't intend to anger anyone. She promised to not wear the shirt again.
The cop who rescued her, ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi, has been recommended for Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal, the highest gallantry award for law enforcement in Pakistan.
