The United States of America has accused China of fresh military aggression.
The US military on June 5, 2023, released video footage of a Chinese warship attempting a dangerous manoeuvre near an American Navy vessel.
America said that the Chinese ship cut sharply across the US warship's path, and it had to slow down to avoid a collision.
The incident occurred in the Taiwan Strait on June 3 when the American destroyer USS Chung-Hoon and Canadian frigate HMCS Montreal were conducting a 'freedom of navigation' transit.
Days earlier, America had said that a Chinese J-16 fighter jet "flew directly in front of the nose" of its reconnaissance aircraft RC-135 over the South China Sea. The US Indo-Pacific Command had called it an "unnecessarily aggressive manoeuvre".
