Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has congratulated "the IDF and Shin Bet on another successful liberation operation."

The Israeli military rescued an Arab citizen of Israel who was among scores of people abducted in Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack.

The military said on Tuesday that 52-year-old Qaid Farhan Alkadi was rescued “in a complex operation in the southern Gaza Strip.”

"We work tirelessly to return all of our hostages. We do this in two main ways: through negotiations and liberation (rescue) operations. Both ways together require our military presence in the field, and unceasing military pressure on Hamas. We will continue to act like this until we bring everyone home" said the Israeli prime minister.
