Students of a medical college in New York burst into tears after finding out that they won't have to pay tuition fees anymore.

The heart-touching moment was captured on camera.

The video was taken on 26th February when a former professor of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine announced that she was donating $1 billion to the institution.

The college situated in Bronx has a tuition fee of $59,000 per year which the students won't have to pay from August 2024.

Dr Ruth Gottesman's (93) donation was a gift to the students and is the largest donation ever given to a medical school in the United States.

Addressing the students at the college, Dr Gottesman said, "I am happy to share with you that starting in August, this year, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine will be tuition-free."
