3 policemen were injured after a machete-wiedling teenager attacked them near New York City's Times Square on New Year's Eve.
The officers are in a stable condition, the New York Police Department said in statement.
The 19-year-old attacker was shot in the shoulder by the police and is being treated at a hospital.
