The local police in Redding, California, faced an unusual case, when they were alerted of a runaway donkey.
Kevin, the fugitive donkey, caused quite the stir when he ran away from his owner's property.
The officers of Redding performing donkey's work had to talk the hind legs of the stubborn mule and get him back home.
Assistance of neighbours and apples were employed while officers Brian Berg and Camaron Hooks corralled Kevin.
One of the officers gave credit to his moustache for catching him finally. "His ears are pinned back and thinking about running. But like most people I deal with, he saw the mustache and he just said, 'I give up’," he told a local paper.
The Redding officers returned Kevin home safely after giving him a stern warning.
