America’s oldest President ever, Joe Biden broke silence on concerns about his age. The 80-year-old, who will run for a second term in 2024, said he understands people’s concerns about his age.

Biden said he is running again to counter Donald Trump, who is “determined to destroy American democracy.” If elected next year, Biden would be 86 at the end of his term.

Speaking at a fundraiser in New York, Biden said he was running for White House “because democracy is at stake because in 2024 democracy is on the ballot once again.” He also accused Trump of bowing down to “dictators” like Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

Former US President Donald Trump, who is currently Biden’s biggest possible challenger, is also 77 years old. The Republican, however, said that he thinks Biden is not “too old” but “incompetent,” news agency AFP reported.
