Japan, South Korea impose restrictions on travellers from China

Amid Covid-19 surge in China, Japan and South Korea have announced fresh curbs for travellers from China.

South Korea has imposed visa restrictions, testing requirements apart from limiting flights for travellers from China.

Meanwhile, Japan has made COVID-19 tests for all passengers arriving from China a must as an emergency measure against surging infections there

Notably, Japan is facing rising case numbers and record-level deaths at home.
