Israel's Public Diplomacy Minister, Galit Distel Atbaryan, has resigned saying that her ministry has been stripped of its already limited powers.
After Israel declared war against Hamas, the govt tasked the Diaspora Affairs Ministry to handle Israel's international public diplomacy efforts together with the Foreign Ministry.
'I can't find any justification for this doubling of powers. Running a government office is an expensive matter, and the people of Israel need every shekel,' she said on X.
Atbaryan said that her ministry has been emptied of its powers and hence every day it operates from now is a waste of public funds.
