ISIS' suspected chief killed by...: Turkey President's announcement

The suspected leader of the ISIS terror group has been killed in Syria, the President of Turkey announced on April 30, 2023.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the suspected chief of ISIS Abu Hussein al-Qurayshi was killed on April 29 in an operation by the Turkish intelligence agency MIT.

Abu Hussein al-Qurashi is believed to have become ISIS chief after Abu al-Hassan al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi was killed in November 2022.
