An Ireland man who is paid over Rs 1 crore annually has sued his employer for making him do nothing.

Finance Manager Dermot Alastair, who works at Irish Rail in Dublin filed a court case against his employer for not giving him work in accordance with his skills, reported Irish Independent.

Alastair earns a whopping 105,000 pounds (1.06 crores INR). In his complaint, he claimed that his work at office only revolves around reading newspaper, eating sandwiches and sometimes taking a walk.

He told Dublin's Workplace Relations Commission that his work duties were "reduced to nothing" after he made a 'protected disclosure' in 2014.

Alastair further alleged that the drastic work reduction is a punishement he has been given for speaking out against Irish Rail.

The man apparently does not receive any official communication at work.
