Ahead of a possible attack against Israel, Iran has warned the US to stay away from it.

In a post on X, Iranian president's deputy chief of staff for political affairs Mohammad Jamshidi said that his country has warned the Biden administration to not get dragged in what he called Israel Prime Minister Benjamin's Netanyahu's trap for the US.

According to Jamshidi, Iran told US to stay away so it doesn't get hurt. He further said that the US has asked Iran not to target American facilities.

This comes days after suspected Israeli warplanes bombed Iran's embassy in Damascus, killing seven Iranian military advisers, including a military commander.

Following the incident, Iran said it reserves the right to take a decisive response.

Meanwhile, a senior US official said that America is on high alert and actively preparing for a possible offensive by Iran in Israel.

According to CNN, senior US officials currently believe that an attack by Iran is inevitable.
