French President Emmanuel Macron logged into Telegram three days after the arrest of the messaging app's Founder and CEO Pavel Durov.
A former French parliamentarian, who has Macron's number on his phone's contact list, showed a chat with the President on the app to Politico.
The day before and three days after Durov's arrest, the president's profile indicated that he had logged onto Telegram recently.
Macron has been a Telegram user since the beginning of his first presidential campaign. His own party, Renaissance, still uses a Telegram channel to send public communications to journalists.
