A US man has set a world record by watching a total of 777 films at a cinema in a year, breaking the previous record of 715. 32-year-old Zach Swope juggled his love for films and a day job, watching about three movies every day.
His world record did not cost him much as he purchased a $22 pass that allowed him to watch unlimited films at a US cinema chain. He often had to repeat films to break the record.
Swope started off his year-long attempt with the movie ‘Minions: Rise of Gru’ and wrapped it up after a screen of ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’, according to Guinness World Records.
The record was set with certain restrictions in place. Swope was not allowed to do any other activities, including eating or drinking. The films had to be watched in their entirety, Guinness added.
